burntotearsI've been known as burntotears on the internet for more than six years now. If you google it, you'll find everything on the internet I've ever signed up for (some might be shameful, so don't do it). I consider the internet a huge part of how I grew up and the person I've become. Diving into slash fanfic at the age of twelve opened my mind to loving all people, no matter their sexual orientation. I made friends across the globe and I know for a fact that I would not have learned to be the person I am without these people. I've had access to different cultures other than my own and educated myself about things that happen outside of my own country. The internet has given me the chance to connect with other writers like myself, read their works and have them peruse my own. Without this connection to the entire world, I would probably be even more shy than I am now.
